Wright named an Attorney for Justice in 2018
Sonya Wright again donated over 50 hours of free legal services during the year and were named as Attorneys for Justice. The Tennessee Supreme Court, in an effort to encourage attorneys and firms to provide pro bono services, recognizes those attorneys that have provided at least 50 hours of pro bono services throughout the year. Smith-Wright Law met and exceeded that requirement and were named to the Supreme Court’s Honor Roll. 2018 marks the fifth year that the Tennessee Supreme Court has recognized Attorneys and Law Students for Justice. In an effort to increase the number of attorneys and law offices providing pro bono services to those who cannot afford legal costs, the Tennessee Supreme Court has an extensive recognition program. The Court honors all attorneys providing at least 50 hours of service annually, with a goal of increasing statewide pro bono work to 50 percent participation.
