New Year’s Resolution – Estate Planning Inventory List
Resolution is defined as a “firm decision to do or not to do something.”
We hope that one item that will go on your “To Do List” this year is your estate planning. We know firsthand the importance of having not only a Last Will and Testament in place to make sure that your wealth transfers in accordance with your wishes but also how crucial it can be to have health care and financial Powers of Attorney. If something happens to you and you are unable to make decisions for yourself, you need someone in this role that you trust and that knows your wishes.
It is never too early to start talking about estate planning. Whether you just graduated college and are starting a new job, delivered your first child, decided to make a career change, or announced a retirement, NOW is the time to get this completed. We also recommend that you take additional steps to make sure that your property is protected. One way that you can accomplish this is by completing an Estate Planning Inventory List. If you are a current Estate Planning client, you should have already received this information with our New Year’s correspondence, however, please contact us at 615-800-4747 to receive an additional copy or to ask any questions. If you are not a client and are interested in any of this information, please contact us!
